I was born in Seattle, Washington, the oldest in a family with four children. I graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Social Work and then went on to graduate with Honors as the youngest in my class obtaining a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. I immediately began work to secure my Clinical License in Social Work which I have had since 1981.
Over my 35+ years as a professional therapist, I have practiced as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Utah, Oregon, Nevada and California. I have had the honor of working with hundreds of clients who come to me presenting their own unique issues and challenges. In my work I have been witness to the profound changes that can occur with a committed client, couple or family. I love what I do and believe it shows in every session.
Throughout my life I have placed a high value on continued growth as an individual, mother, wife, and therapist. My professional learning never ceases as I consistently read, attend classes, workshops and trainings to keep up with the latest research and therapeutic techniques in the profession of mental health. I am certified in the practice of EMDR Therapy which is excellent for the treatment of all types of trauma.
